I think though that most of us on here expect that there are many use cases and Hedera will be widely adopted. So trying to guess what the price will be is like trying to assess the weather in 5 years time. In a few years the concern will likely be much more about usage and tokenomics. Right now there is a lot of Network comparing going on. The speculative market for Hbar more generally. Those issues will be played out over circumstances we can barely guess at atm. We don’t know the staking model and tokenomics of the council over time. Could be quadrillions, could be relatively few. We don’t really know how many Txns there will be. The strength of speculation on the marketĪll those factors -right now- are highly uncertain. The staking model (and Tokenomics more generally ) the council run with.Txn volumes - the higher the volume the higher the price. There are only three things that will dictate Hederas price: But do the math: how much would china be able to buy hbar in order to control 1/3 of the network for example? To gain a little perspective at least: Leemon said that in order to protect hedera from attacks of someone who just buys a substantial amount of hbar even over decades and by this would be eventually able to overthrow the system the price needs to be at a certain level. So if people are willing to pay 2$ for Hbar because they see potential in it, the price goes up.Īnd is there a certain intrinsic reason why BTC is prized so high and other coins are not? Think about it. Although lots of people use market cap as a metric and it is helpful in a way it is also very misleading! The weird thing is this: prices are entirely determined by supply and demnad. It is not a limiting factor at all! Read my comment above this one. I occasionally dare to dream, but I mostly stay grounded. $10 is really more than my wildest dreams can comprehend. If it goes to $5 it is a once in a lifetime investment. If HBAR goes to $2 over 5 years I think that is a fantastic investment. Many of the projects we dream about won't be implemented for years to come. ![]() The number of transactions needed to support a higher price is going to be difficult to come by, even with Coupon Bureau and others. Good investments pay you a significant return and make sense on closer examination, but don't necessarily guarantee retiring 15 years early. It's not that they don't exist (they clearly do), but they are somewhat random and difficult to get on board at the right time. □īut seriously, as a general rule I don't believe in "moons". ![]() I believe it will not reach $10 any time soon (certainly not next 5 years) mostly because I can't fathom ever having the amount of money that would imply I would have. Hashgraph opens up exciting decentralized application use cases such as micro-payments, distributed capital markets, live collaboration apps, distributed MMOs, auctions and more. Secure: Bank-Grade Security (Asynchronous Byzantine Fault Tolerant). ![]() ![]() Fair: Mathematically Proven Fairness (via Consensus Time Stamping).Fast: 250,000+ Transactions Per Second (Pre-Sharding).A decentralized platform without servers built on Hashgraph technology will enable blockchain use cases to run: Hedera Hashgraph is a superior consensus mechanism / data structure alternative to blockchain.
